Department of Applied Computer Science has partnered with TALQ.
The TALQ Consortium aims to set a globally accepted standard for management software interfaces to control and monitor heterogeneous outdoor lighting networks.
TALQ generates answers to the main challenges of outdoor lighting as reducing energy consumption and CO2 emissions worldwide, increasing cost efficiency and accelerating the introduction of LED luminaires in road and urban lighting.
Within the “Development of Web Applications” postgraduate course, you can learn not only about the most popular technologies and tools used for implementation of modern websites, but also about complex distributed systems used in enterprise solutions, as well as techniques used to present content within web browsers.
The course starts Spring 2013, registration is open until 15 March 2013.
At the beginning of April, the ISI Center, cocnerned with intelligent information systems, has been established within the SPIN - Transfer of Innovation Model in Lesser Poland project.
The Center is a platform for connecting the world of science and business as well as industry as well as local governments. The aim of the Center is to promote innovative solutions developed by the scientific community. The ISI Center was established at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering, Automatics, Computer Science and Biomedical Engineering.

Oskar Kuligowski and Ziemowit Rachwał, members of the SHADER Reseach Club at the Department of Applied Computer Science, are the winners of this year's Samsung AppCup.
The awarded application is called 'Bring Them Water', and belongs to the category of puzzle video games.
